«This recall to nature can be assimilated to a recall to infancy?»
«The stream was my first teacher, I spent whole days with it, I learned to swim, to search, to look around me in curiosity and get the best out of what it offered me. I ran after the water, I explored every movement, I was happy in its arms. Water, this vital element taught me to open my eyes on the true values of life. People of the village used to wash them in the stream, even well in Autumn, few people had water at home: a simple collective rite brought people near to one another, and made them feel all equal, and able to enjoy of the gifts of nature. This is what I try to express in my works: the emotions of infancy. After all, every situation the water suggests is already a picture. I load up images, I take photos in my mind. I collect the objectsI like and when I came back to my studio, with the same elements I have just seen, I make my work. These works have just been suggested by nature in her generosity.»

«Nature shows random situations and the artist is able to read and interpret them.»
«The starting point is what I see: usually it is an objects the stream current has left on the banks, but the water movements too, different materials put together such as sand and leaves, these matching mirror just collected, I try to live again the same situations I have seen or lived before, without putting the object completely out of its context, and with a great respect for natural events. Surely there are personal actions, interpretations. I create a fragment of the stream, of the past, of infancy.»

«Your attention is however caught by a special object because of its shape or symbolic value.»
«I search the past in the object as the recall of myself. It is a deep need to stop the speed of contemporary time, an effort to preserve the small values of life, since fast it goes and doesn’t leave any trace. When I take a look at an object I think of its past and this allows me to go deep into my past and reflect carefully on the natural elements, on the value of silence, the pause, the thought.»
